Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Nelsonville-York Elementary is excited to welcome back students on Thursday, August 25th. I wanted to provide some information on upcoming events that are taking place. First of all, parents will be able to figure out who your child's teacher is on Monday, August 15th. They will be available on Infinite Campus through the Parent Portal. Also, our District-Wide Open House is on Monday, August 22 from 5:00-7:00PM.
If your child is in Preschool or Kindergarten, they will be receiving additional information both by email and mail about their starting day. Beginning tomorrow, parents can call in and schedule screening appointments that will occur on Wednesday-Friday of the first week of school. The dates are: Wednesday, August 24-Friday, August 26. Preschool and Kindergarten students will be scheduled for 30minutes-1 hour appointments and the students will spend time getting to know teachers and their environments while parents will be filling out the necessary paperwork. Preschool and Kindergarten students will officially start school on Monday, August 29th with a stagger start. Students with last names that begin with A-L will start on Monday and students with last names M-Z will start on Tuesday, August 30.
We will be completing an Online Registration through Infinite Campus this year. More information on that will be shared when it is available. Final Forms will not be used.
If you have moved over the summer, please call the elementary office and let us know. We will need a new proof of residency on file in the office. If you have questions about the bus stop and times the bus will be picking up/dropping off, please call the bus garage at 740-753-2106.
